The new English translation of the Roman Missal is set to be implemented in all Catholic parishes in the US on the first Sunday of Advent 2011. At the Bishops recent meeting in Seattle they gave permission to allow certain texts of the new translation to be used earlier than the first Sunday of Advent. This includes the musical settings of the peoples part which can be introduced beginning in September. Read more from the US Bishops about this.
