LifeTeen recently did an interview with Father Matt Lowry from the Diocese of Phoenix and Katie Heller about women and the priesthood. They talk about how a priest is the one who stands in the person of Christ. They explain how this teaching can't change in the Church because Our Lord Himself established this principle that the priesthood is reserved to men. They also talk about how this does not take away from the dignity of women and the equality between men and women. Take a listen here!
Also take a look at how CNN recently covered women and the priesthood in Catholic Church - read here. They did the story in light of Pope Benedict's upcoming trip to London and a group that will be plastering signs on buses saying how this teaching of reserving the priesthood to men only should change in the Church. Of coarse we know that this teaching can't change. The article was pretty fair in representing and expaing Church's teaching - does not happen to often!
