Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.

Today's first reading contains one of my favorite passages from scripture - Jer 1:4-5.

The word of the LORD came to me, saying:
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I dedicated you,
a prophet to the nations I appointed you.

Think about that for awhile.   God saying these words to you.  

In the news:

You've probably heard the contriversy about CBS's decision to air Tim Tebow's Super Bowl Ad.  The ad is about choice - the choice to give birth to a child.   Needless to say the so called pro-choice groups are trying to get CBS to cancel the add because they don't like the choice Tim Tebow's mom made.    There is something that you can do to help enusre that this add is shown.    Life site news has launched a petition to keep the add on the air.   You can find it here:    http://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2010/jan/10012809.html    The link to the petition is at the end of the article.   You can also contact CBS directly.   

Apparently CNN is having trouble counting.   One of their anchors was wondering whether there were more pro-life or pro-abortion protesters at the March for Life on Jan,.22.   Let's see, it's estimated that there were between 300,000-400,000 pro-life marchers.    I personally saw 15 pro-abortion protesters at the supreme court.    I have read that there may have been as many as 20.    http://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2010/jan/10012806.html
