I'm back...... It's been an interesting and very hectic last couple of months.
As you may have heard, today, November 27th, Pope Benedict XVI will celebrate a “Vigil for All Nascent Human Life” coinciding with first vespers of the First Sunday of Advent. The Holy Father has requested that all Diocesan Bishops offer prayers for this intention on the same day.
Catholics throughout our diocese will join Catholics throughout the world in prayer for the unborn today, and throughout the week.
The Diocese of Trenton’s Vigil Mass will be celebrated by Coadjutor Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., in St. James Church, Pennington, tonight, at 5:00 PM.
The following parishes in our diocese will also have prayer service. This is NOT a complete list. It's only the parsishes I know about. If your parsih is having a prayer service for life, please let us know.
Our Lady of Good Council in Moorestown – after the 6:00 PM Mass
St. Charles Borromeo in Cinnaminson after the 5:00 PM Mass (in the chapel).
St. Joan of Arc in Marlton – Adoration with Evening Prayer at 7:00 PM
Holy Eucharist in Tabernacle will have a prayer service on Friday, December 3 from 5:00-7:00 PM.
According to Linda Richardson, director of the diocesan Office of Family Life, the prayer vigil is an important opportunity for Catholics to join together in support of the unborn. “Society has come to accept abortion as an acceptable option for unplanned pregnancy and ever since Roe v. Wade, people of good will have been crying out for justice for these unborn children,” Richardson said.
“We hope that many parishes will join with our Holy Father in a worldwide prayer for the defense of nascent human life so that society will once again recognize the dignity and rights of all persons, from the moment of conception until natural death,” she said.
All are welcome to attend the diocesan Mass, or one in their local parish. To learn more about the worldwide vigil, go to www.usccb.org/prolife/papalvigil.

Thank you,
Effie
